About the Ride
Formerly known as Tour de Palm Coast, Pedal in the Park is a guided, easygoing group ride led by city staff — less a race, more a rolling celebration of Palm Coast's park system. The route departs promptly at 8:00 AM from the Palm Coast Community Center and winds through the St. Joe Walkway and Linear Park before reaching Waterfront Park along the Intracoastal Waterway. The pace is deliberately leisurely, making it perfect for families, casual riders, and anyone who wants a beautiful excuse to be outside before the July heat sets in.
The event is free, but registration through the City of Palm Coast is required. All riders must wear a helmet, and everyone is encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle — filling stations are available at the Community Center, with water fountains along the way at both parks. Light refreshments are served after the ride.
The Scenery: Why These Two Parks?
Linear Park is one of Palm Coast's hidden gems, a green corridor of shaded trails, boardwalks, picnic pavilions, and a playground, tucked along Palm Coast Parkway. Waterfront Park, meanwhile, delivers exactly what its name promises: a two-mile stretch of serene Intracoastal views where riders regularly spot wading birds — and if you're lucky, dolphins or manatees gliding through the water. Together they showcase the trail-laced, nature-first lifestyle that makes Palm Coast one of Florida's most livable cities.
Part of Park & Recreation Month
Pedal in the Park is a highlight of Palm Coast's July-long celebration of Park and Recreation Month, a national initiative championing the role parks play in healthy, connected communities. Come for the ride, and keep an eye on the city's event calendar for more free outdoor fun all month long.
